Tactile Realms: the MYST experience
Tactile Realms: the MYST experience by artist Christopher Robin Nordström is premiering at Galleri Gemla. The exhibition recreates the virtual game world from the computer game Myst (1993) in the form of miniature models created by hand, from the ground up, by the artist himself. The installation portrays the island that the player inhabits in the game: its landscape, architecture, soundscape, a number of objects and interiors that the player can enter.
However, the work is not only a visual reproduction of the game, but also a kind of practical reproduction. At the very back of the room stands a desk with a computer screen where visitors can play the real Myst game, only what is shown on screen are the physical miniature models that Christopher has recreated.
Tuija Lindström: jaga under flykten, fly under jakten
Efter att Tuija Lindström gick bort 2017 har en hennes konstnärliga arv tagits hand om av en liten grupp vänner som bildat en förening, allt efter konstnärens vilja. Tuija Lindströms kvarlåtenskap kommer nu införlivas i Kungliga Bibliotekets samlingar i form av ett personarkiv och därmed ingå i nationalbibliotekets arkivserie över viktiga konstnärskap i Sveriges historia
